The purpose of supervision is to develop the knowledge and skills of coaches; to maintain quality standards and ethics; and to provide support. Supervision is fundamental for best practice and personal development, and a requirement of most professional organisations.
It is also about more. As well as helping coaches with client work, I see the role of supervisor to help the coach develop themselves and their practice.
My approach to supervision is built on collaboration, trust, and a deep respect for the uniqueness of every coach. Whilst I have a range of training and experience, my focus is entirely on what best serves the individual I am supervising.
“Supervision with Rob is inspirational at the same time as it is grounding and rigourous. An hour with Rob is the definition of time to think and he really listens. He will ask something after consideration that simply gets to the heart of how to help and support a client without any fuss, he enables, suggests exercises thoughtfully that are always an excellent path. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough and trust him implicitly.”
