Coaching involves helping people find their own solutions. Mentoring involves someone with relevant experience passing on the benefit of that experience. Both are capable of helping achieve significant positive change.
Coaching and mentoring can work highly effectively alongside each other, and where appropriate I will use a combination of both to help clients achieve their outcomes.
Fundamentally I am driven by what will most effectively help achieve what the client wants to achieve, and will adapt and develop my approach to serve that purpose. What’s more important than the technique being used, is “what works”.
“I have found Rob’s mentoring and coaching absolutely invaluable. Sometimes, when you work in an incredibly busy environment, you cannot see the wood for the trees. Rob not only provides a clearing and a pathway forward but helps you put in place an action plan for the future. Having the opportunity to speak to an outsider, looking in, but who understands your organisation and what you do, is something I recommend to everyone”.
