Mentoring involves sharing the benefit of one’s experience and wisdom. When facing challenging or new situations, it can help to engage with someone who has “been through” something similar.
During 25 years of management and leadership experience I have been through most cycles of a business, including swift growth, rationalisation and change programmes. I have experienced transformational success, deep challenge and everything in between. I have managed teams, departments and significant client relationships. I have developed new business lines to market leading status and operated at Board level.
I have experience providing mentoring at all levels within business, from trainee/apprentice to partner/director.
My approach has always been to learn everything I can from my experiences so I can improve myself and those around me. Learning from what has (and more importantly what hasn’t!) worked is a critical part of individual and organisational success.
